Important
Notes For Playing Members
All club members
should bear in mind that the club is administered by honorary officers and
that such duties as they undertake claim a great deal of time and effort.
All members are therefore expected to assist in keeping the clubhouse and
grounds clean and tidy, in abiding by the rules laid down by the committee
and in offering help in the work necessary to welcome visitors and organise
functions.
It is a condition of
membership that subscriptions are paid by the due date. Members are
reminded that their privileges cease and they will not normally be selected
to play whilst a subscription is outstanding at the discretion of the
committee.
It is the duty of all
players to check selection of teams posted on the notice board in the
clubhouse each week and to note the time of meeting. Players not able to do
so should check details with the Hon. Team Secretary by telephone.
Members who will not
be available for selection on certain days should advise their team captain
or the team secretary at least one week in advance.
Any changes of
address should be notified to the team secretary as soon as possible.
In the case of any
player being sent off the field a levy of £20.00 is made against the player
concerned by the Leicestershire Rugby Union. This amount should be paid to
the Hon. Treasurer of the club by any player sent off before his case is
dealt with by the disciplinary committee of the L.R.U. If not paid by the
hearing date, an invoice will follow for £40.00.
Copies of the full
club rules are kept by the Honorary Secretary and upon request a copy will
be made available to members and the local authority.
